One of the best days of my life consisted of a red Schwinn Sting Ray & new terry cloth tank top with matching shorts.

Counterpoint

When the boys at Counterpoint approached me to redo their site,  I knew it was time crank up the metal and get creative. They placed no limits on me and I was able to play. Why can’t all clients be like this?  Thanks CP!

Super Speed! No Quality Loss

When a friend became another victim of this so called economic crisis. (which I am choosing not to participate in. I can’t afford to. I found this positive thinking has actually been bringing me more business than ever before. ) Anyways, He got laid off from his former employer and decided it was time to start up his own thing. I didn’t have much time with some bigger paying  gigs on my plate so I had to bust this one out fast. I am pretty happy with the result. If you need any garage door service, repair or install hit this dude up. www.cmcdoors.com

// UPDATE //

After studying this poster I remembered a character that looked and smelled like a skunk. I pinged my homie and he knew right away. STINKOR!!! Little did I know there were many toys created which never made it into the cartoon.

If you haven’t noticed lately… There are some major changes going on with the site. It wasn’t planned but a combination of ideas and scripts swarmed over me these past few weeks. What started as simple blog overhaul has turned into total rework of my entire site. Look out for falcadia v3 coming soon.

Microsoft 7 to use Mac OSX Doc

Well.. Not really but come on now. Just admit that Mac OS has a better GUI & user experience. I guess there is no shame in stealing great design aspects, that is… unless you are a falling giant who is trying to recover from the Vista™ disaster. The windows & buttons are still ugly. What’s up with the web 2.0 glossy red x. Yuck.

Coachella Music Festival 08

Posted: May 1st, 2008 | Author: Falcadia | Filed under: Music, News | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

I just returned from attending my second year at Coachella. If you haven’t heard of this festival its a gynormus outdoor festival with way to many bands and 183,000 people. They have it in the West Palm Desert CA (by Palm Springs) on polo fields surrounded by palm trees. The fields are covered with a tough grass which makes it quite nice to walk on and reduces the dust. There are 5 stages and a few smurf villages with DJ’s for all night trippers. Also, there are a bunch of art installations to play & climb on or just stare at.

To get to my point it’s all a little overwhelming. Even my second time I still was overcome by the magnitude of this festival. I even had a plan of attack to hop from stage to stage to catch a glimpse of the bands I wanted to see but that fell apart the first day. I maybe caught 20% of the shows on my schedule. It was just to hectic to get to a stage on time. After drinking 3 or 4 $7 Heineken’s you need to find a port-o-potty which is an ordeal. Then trying to relocate your friends can be a whole another mess since there are 180 K peeps trying to text their friends at the same time. The signals were getting all jammed up for sure. After the show you are exhausted and then you need to find your car to wait for an hour to get out of the parking lot.

Anyway, maybe I am just getting older and less adventuress. If I was 18 again I would camp out for the 3 days and stay up all night long. Rave till the sun rises over the misty mountains. Either way it’s a life experience I am glad I have under the belt. I saw a ton of good live music, saw some crazy and cool people and was living and walking on the Earth. That’s what it’s all about.

Skateboarding 1987 vs 2008

Posted: April 23rd, 2008 | Author: Falcadia | Filed under: News, Videos | No Comments »

Here’s a cool contrast. The skateboard game I played as a wee lad and the stuff they are producing today. We have come a long way. It’s hard to decide if these new games are more fun then the old stuff. Of course the graphics, realism, controls and tricks are far superior but there was just something simple but hard at the same time with the old. Nothing like sticking a huge 540 on the half pipe in Sk8 or Die. Oh well, I can play both now if I want. I’m not complaining.
